After playing Smash Bros like crazy for the past few days I just had to post this when I saw it.
Can you name them all? Which one is your favorite Kirby?

Kanye @ Grammy's

It's been quite a slow week and I'm tired of writing about snow storms because we just had another one last night. So it's time for something more exciting! This past Sunday marked the 50th Anniversary of the Grammy Awards and some of the performances were amazing. But IMO Kanye West stood out the most. I know he'll be having a Glow in the Dark tour soon, so I guess this was a preview of what's in store. It was crazy! What really blew me away was when Daft Punk came on and did their thing.

Here's a video of the performance.

Looking forward to summer

I'm beginning to really hate winter. Take a look below and you'll know what I mean.

plus wind chill FEELS LIKE -30! OMG. I can hear the winds howling outside as I'm typing. All this cold weather has made me think about planning my summer vacation. I'll be going to Hong Kong in April along with Julian and his family! It's gonna be good times. Not only will this be the first time Julian has gone to Hong Kong, it's also his first time on a plane! Don't worry Julian, I'll be there to document the whole thing!

Anyway, I was going through some of my old photos on my computer looking for pictures I took the last time I was in Hong Kong, and I stumbled upon some photos my good friend Paul sent me from his trip to Japan almost 3 years ago (Scroll down for the pics). Looking at these pictures really make me want to visit Japan. Right now there are 3 places I'd like to visit while I'm in Hong Kong: Taiwan, Thailand or Japan.

My friends told me the food in Taiwan and Thailand is super cheap and it's so good. In Thailand you can have a full course seafood meal for just $5Cad! Too bad I can't go to all 3 places =(

This is my favorite, HMB! I wonder what's in there.

Toy Heaven.

*Update* My mistake. It's not Julian's first time on a plane. Just his first long hour flight! But I'm still going to document it =)

Last Year's Snow Storm

Since the topic lately has been about having snow storms, I thought I'd do a recap of last years snow storm. This happened in March 2007. We always manage to skip class at the right time because we had night class that day -HTML if i remember correctly- and the school ended up closing right before class. Of course like always the school only send out emails to everyone half an hour before they decide to close grr...

Here's what happened when we decided to leave. My eyebrows turned white from the snow!

Ryan's hair turned white too! But you can still tell it's him. You can tell a mile away ;)

My New Watch!

After waiting for a long time I finally got my watch! I'm so happy, I'm going to wear it everyday! I have to be really careful not to get any scuffs on it though because it'll be REALLY noticeable. I was such a n00b too, I didn't know when you press the G it lights up =S

Winter Pics

This really caught my eye today after class. There's something about it that makes me want to eat them.

Toronto Raptors - Where Amazing Happens

Tonight was the 1000th game for the Toronto Raptors, but what was even more significant was that TJ Ford returned to the court at home for the first time since suffering that horrific neck injury at Atlanta. When he got off the bench the crowd game him a standing ovation and that really put a tear to my eye =..)

Snow Day #2

For those of you that don't live in Canada, you probably think that up here in the north we live in igloos and stuff. Well, after another snow storm yesterday that may seem to be true. Here's a picture I took when I woke up this morning. It's was so bright outside from the reflection of the snow that it distorted the color on my camera.

I thought it'd be safe to go outside after the snow had been removed from most major streets, but I already had trouble getting out my driveway. The snow removal had come by my sidewalk and created a wall of snow which put a barrier around my car. I was too busy shoveling the snow to free my car I forgot to take a picture, but you can see from my neighbor's house that his driveway was blocked too.

Anyway, on with my journey. After lunch we stopped by my friend Jing's house to pick up some stuff, and DAMN I thought I had a lot of snow on my street. This was the snow he had shoveled on this driveway.

I should have stood beside it to see a comparison of how high it was. Here's a picture of his van beside the snow and they were almost the same height.

My driveway is still covered in snow. I was hoping it'll melt on it's own so I won't have to shovel, but I don't think it'll happen anytime soon :(

Lunch at Franz

For the past 2 Tuesdays we've been having lunch at the University pub cause Tuesdays are $2 beers and Burger & Fries combo is half price $3.99! But having too much of a good thing can be bad. So today we decided to eat at our local diner Franz! YAY!

Every time we go there we always get the usual All Day Breakfast with 2 eggs, bacon, toast and homefries. Mmm...homefries. But today will be different! We're gonna try something new, something more exciting, something like...ENERGY BREAKFAST! At first everyone was undecided on what to get, but then Julian pointed out this Energy Breakfast. It consists of 3 scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, croissant and homefries. (Homefries is KEY. Remember that)

So once again we all ended up ordering the same meal as everyone else. Except for Tuan and Amanda, who both ordered Sheppard's Pie! Coincidence? I think not.

OH SNAPPLES! too much ketchup Julian.

Here's mine. It was actually really good.

Ryan and Julian.

Tuan and Amanda with their Pie. The rice Tuan ordered was really bad. It stayed the same shape even if you press it down, it just rises up again. So scare.

Snow Day Aftermath

Well, so much for our snow day. Most of the snow have already melted away because it was like +EIGHT DEGREES today!! It seriously felt like spring was here. I got to wear my T-shirt, was sweating underneath my winter jacket, and it definitely smelled like spring (more like the smell of my sweat =S).

Anyway, my good friend Julian sent me these pictures of his snow day experience. It definitely beats my roof top picture. It's like watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of The Ooze when Shredder turned into Super Shredder! (scroll down to see what I mean)

We have here sweet innocent fluffy snow.

And then OH MY GOODNESS!

It's SUPER SHREDDER!

Thanks for the photos Julian! They're awesome.

GIANTS WIN SUPER BOWL!

Giants win Super Bowl XLII!! What a game! Patriots lose the most important game of the season and what could've been the perfect season of being undefeated!

RAMBO IS BACK!

I thought this was pretty funny, especially the statistic with his shirt on or off. I think he's competing with Jack Bauer for style points.

These stats kinda spoiled the other movies for me though. Before discovering this, I decided to go back and watch the other ones after watching part IV starting with First Blood, and I stopped right after the first guy died! Does this mean I should stop now and continue with part II =S

Snow on roof top

Last night before heading out to a friend's birthday party I noticed a huge chunk of snow on top of my door way. It looked pretty cool so I took a picture of it :) I seriously need a better camera.

SNOW DAY!

There were reports yesterday saying there'd be a snow storm this morning so I decided to stay home. I haven't looked outside till now because I just woke up :( and it's 2:30pm. I didn't hear any wind or and sounds of snow hitting my windows, so I thought maybe it wasn't so bad. I opened the door to my room, looked outside, and OMG...I couldn't see anything! My windows were fogged up and all I could see was a white blur! So I quickly took out my phone and took some pics. This wasn't the worst snow I've seen, but I still have to shovel it! :( My back hurts just thinking about it.

The snow was all the way up my steps.

*UPDATE*

I just checked my e-mail and I'm sooo glad I didn't go to school today.
"Due to the severe winter storm, ******* University will close as of 12 noon, Friday, February 1, 2008. All day and evening classes and on-campus activities are cancelled"
